What cream for frost and wind? How to protect your skin in winter?

Why do you need to take special care of your skin in winter?

Winter can be beautiful. Unfortunately, it's during winter that our skin is more vulnerable to harsh external factors:

  • warm inside and cold outside , which reduces skin comfort,
  • wind , which intensifies the feeling of dryness,
  • dry air in heated rooms , which dehydrates the skin,
  • and frequent transitions : manor-office-car-shop.

The result? Facial skin reacts more often: it becomes tight, rough, and sometimes red, while the skin on the hands tends to crack.

Winter skin care: protection from frost and regeneration upon return.

The best winter skincare isn't 12 magical steps. It's 3 steps that make sense:

1) Before going out: protective layer

Create a protective, oily layer that will protect your face like a shield and limit moisture loss from wind and frost. For example, choose Rich Revival emulsion, which has a higher oil concentration than your average cream.

It's also a good idea to strengthen your blood vessels to prevent them from bursting in the cold. Ginkgo biloba extract, for example, can be helpful here—fortunately included in the Rich Revival formula.

The most important thing, however, is that your protective cosmetics contain appropriate lipids and emollients - substances that leave a protective filter on the skin.

2) After returning: recovery after a cold day

Apply a moisturizer to slightly damp skin, then seal with cream.

Our suggestions: Aqua Bliss and Marigold Glow .

Remember, these actions make the situation worse:

  • a hot shower to warm up - avoid the skin on your face, let it cool down
  • rubbing sensitive skin with a towel - dry it by applying a clean towel, without rubbing
  • synthetic detergents for washing the face - may irritate sensitive skin

3) In the evening: deep nourishment

After a whole day in the cold, your skin needs gentle relief, a rich cosmetic that will nourish it and help it regenerate.

In the evening, before going to bed, apply a thick layer of a rich cosmetic, which will additionally nourish and regenerate the skin.

Our suggestions: Rich Revival or Divine Touch .

Why is Rich Revival perfect for winter?

The oil phase of the Rich Revival emulsion constitutes as much as 58% of the composition , and there you will find not only sophisticated esters but also precious oils, all of which moisturize the skin:

  • we create a protective film that limits water loss
  • we strengthen the lipid barrier and thus the comfort, so that the skin does not burn less and does not feel tight

What oils are in Rich Revival?

🌿 Prickly pear oil – one of the most exclusive cosmetic oils – contains an exceptionally high concentration of vitamin E, linoleic acid, and phytosterols. It smooths, tightens, and improves skin's elasticity. To enhance the magical effect of prickly pear, we also added a macerate made from its delicate flowers. This blend is designed to regenerate, nourish, and support skin's elasticity.

🌿 Baobab oil – rich in phytosterols, vitamin E, and unsaturated fatty acids. It supports the rebuilding of the lipid barrier, increases skin elasticity, and accelerates regeneration.

🌿 Cottonseed Oil – a light vegetable oil rich in linoleic acid and tocopherols. It has moisturizing and softening properties, while being exceptionally well-tolerated by sensitive skin.

🌿 Almond Oil - Soothes, nourishes, and strengthens the lipid barrier without clogging pores. Contains unsaturated fatty acids and vitamin E, effectively softening and smoothing the skin.

🌿 Squalane from sugar cane – a light, stable lipid and unique in its biocompatibility with epidermal lipids, rebuilds and strengthens the hydrolipid layer, improves skin elasticity and prevents water loss.

Our emulsion is additionally enriched with active ingredients in high concentrations:

🌿 Ginkgo biloba leaf extract - stimulates good blood circulation and strengthens the blood vessel system, so it is perfect for skin prone to capillaries, but it will also work for all skin types to protect against frosty winds.

🌿 Carnosine – a natural and intelligent peptide that protects elastic fibers from damage and oxidative stress.

🌿 Coenzyme Q10 - a powerful mitochondrial antioxidant, supports the production of collagen and elastin, helping the skin maintain firmness.

🌿 Vitamin E – tocopheryl acetate – is a powerful lipophilic antioxidant. It protects against oxidative stress and photoaging, stabilizes the vegetable oils in our formula, and improves elasticity and strengthens the skin's natural defenses.

🌿 Betaine - is an osmolytic ingredient of plant origin, one of our favorites because it wonderfully moisturizes the skin, thus helping to maintain water and electrolyte balance.

What about your hands?

Hands suffer silently in winter, and then they cry out for help. How do we prepare them for frost and wind?

  • Apply a rich cream to your hands as well. You don't even need a separate product—if it's good for your face, it's even better for your hands! Our emulsion works great here too.
  • Gloves! The simplest protection, but truly irreplaceable.

Make sure not to get them wet, as this may have the opposite effect to what was intended.

In winter, skin loses comfort more quickly: cold and windy outside, dry heating inside. So instead of complicating your skincare routine, stick to a simple routine : protect before going out, soothe upon returning, and nourish overnight.

And hands? They don't need a separate philosophy— cream + gloves will solve most winter problems.
