What cream for frost and wind? How to protect your skin in winter?

Why does skin need special care in winter?

Winter can be beautiful. Unfortunately, it's in winter that our skin is more exposed to harsh external factors:

  • warm indoors, cold outdoors, which diminishes skin comfort,
  • wind, which intensifies the feeling of dryness,
  • dry air in heated rooms, which dehydrates the skin,
  • and frequent transitions: outdoors–office–car–shop.

The effect? Facial skin reacts more often: it feels tight, rough, sometimes reddened, and hand skin tends to crack.

Winter skin care: protection from frost and regeneration upon return.

The best winter skincare isn't 12 magic steps. It's 3 sensible steps:

1) Before going out: a protective layer

Ensure a rich, enveloping layer that will protect your face like a shield and limit moisture loss due to wind and frost. This could be, for example, Rich Revival emulsion, with a higher concentration of oils than an average cream.

It's also good to strengthen blood vessels so they don't break in the cold. Ginkgo biloba extract, happily present in the Rich Revival formula, can help with this.

The most important thing, however, is that your protective cosmetic contains appropriate lipids and emollients – substances that leave a protective film on the skin.

2) Upon return: regeneration after a cold day

Apply a moisturizing product to slightly damp skin, then seal it with cream.

Our recommendations: Aqua Bliss and Marigold Glow.

Remember, these actions worsen the situation:

  • hot shower "to warm up" - avoid facial skin, let it cool down
  • rubbing sensitive skin with a towel - dry it by dabbing with a clean towel, without rubbing
  • synthetic face wash detergents - can irritate sensitive skin

3) In the evening: deep nourishment

After a whole day in the frost, the skin needs gentle soothing, a rich cosmetic that will nourish it and help it regenerate.

In the evening, before bed, apply a thicker layer of a rich cosmetic that will additionally nourish and regenerate the skin.

Our suggestions: Rich Revival or Divine Touch.

Why is Rich Revival ideal for winter?

The oil phase of Rich Revival emulsion constitutes as much as 58% of the composition, and there you will find not only sophisticated esters but also precious oils, and it is by oiling the skin that:

  • we create a protective film that limits water loss
  • we strengthen the lipid barrier, and thus comfort, so that the skin stings less and does not feel tight

What oils will you find in Rich Revival?

🌿 Prickly pear seed oil - one of the most exclusive cosmetic oils – contains exceptionally high concentrations of vitamin E, linoleic acid, and phytosterols. It smooths, tightens, and improves skin elasticity. To enhance the effect of magical prickly pear, we also added a macerate from its delicate flowers. This blend is designed to: regenerate, nourish, and support skin elasticity.

🌿 Baobab oil - rich in phytosterols, vitamin E, and unsaturated fatty acids. Supports the reconstruction of the lipid barrier, increases skin elasticity, and accelerates regeneration.

🌿 Cottonseed oil - a light vegetable oil rich in linoleic acid and tocopherols. It moisturizes and softens, while being exceptionally well tolerated by sensitive skin.

🌿 Almond oil - Soothes, nourishes, strengthens the lipid mantle without clogging pores. Contains unsaturated fatty acids and vitamin E, effectively softening and smoothing the skin.

🌿 Sugar cane squalane – a light, stable lipid and unique in its biocompatibility with epidermal lipids, it rebuilds and strengthens the hydrolipid layer, improves skin elasticity, and prevents water loss.

Our emulsion is additionally enriched with active ingredients in high concentrations:

🌿 Ginkgo biloba leaf extract - stimulates good blood circulation and strengthens the capillary system, making it excellent for couperose skin, but also suitable for all skin types as protection against frosty wind.

🌿 Carnosine – a natural and intelligent peptide that protects elastic fibers from damage and oxidative stress.

🌿 Coenzyme Q10 - a powerful mitochondrial antioxidant, supports collagen and elastin production, helping skin maintain firmness.

🌿 Vitamin E – tocopheryl acetate - is a strong lipophilic antioxidant. It protects against oxidative stress and photoaging, stabilizes plant oils in our formula. Improves elasticity and strengthens the skin's natural protective mechanisms.

🌿 Betaine - an osmolytic ingredient of plant origin, one of our favorites because it excellently moisturizes the skin, thereby helping to maintain water-electrolyte balance.

What about hands?

Hands suffer silently in winter, then cry out for help. How to prepare them for frost and wind?

  • Apply a rich cream to your hands as well. You don't necessarily need a separate cosmetic - if something is suitable for the face, it's even more suitable for the hands! Our emulsion will also work perfectly here.
  • Gloves! The simplest protection, but truly indispensable.

Make sure not to get them wet, as the effect could then be the opposite of what is intended.

In winter, skin quickly loses comfort: cold and wind outside, dry heating inside. So instead of complicating your routine, stick to a simple plan: protect before going out, soothe upon return, nourish at night.

And hands? They don't need a separate philosophy — cream + gloves solve most winter problems.
